MIAKKEN VINCENT

Miakken Vincent of Sioux Valley made 73 Three Pointers during the 2017-2018 season.  The 73 Three Pointers is tied for 12th, on the all-time list.

 

TREVOR OLSON

Trevor Olson of Sioux Valley completed his career with 275 Three Pointers.  The 275 Three Pointers, Career  is 2nd on the All-Time Boys Basketball records list.  The All-time record is 388 by Louie Krogman of White River, 2005-2008.  Cory Jacobsen of Viborg, Viborg/Hurley, 2008-2011 had 275 Three Pointer, Career.

HELEIGH MELSTAD

Heleigh Melstad of Vermillion made 73 Three Pointers during the 2017-18 season, which tied for 12th, all-time.  Heleigh had 259, Three Point Field Goals, Career, which is 4th, all-time in South Dakota Girls High School Basketball history.

DYLAN LEBRUN

Dylan LeBrun of Flandreau completed his high school career with 2,097 points, 5th all-time on the Class A Scoring, Career list.

Matthew Mors of Yankton scored 42 points on January 20, 2018.  Mors 42 Points, Scored, Game is 14th on the All-time, Class AA, Points Scored, Game list.  He ties Sean Piatkowski of Rapid City Stevens, 1992 and Jose Garcia, 1993.  Eric Kline of Aberdeen Central has the All-time, Class AA, Points Scored, Game with 59 in 1990.

 

ST. THOMAS MORE GIRLS’ WINNING STREAK

ST. THOMAS MORE’S WINNING STREAK ENDS AT 48.

 

The West Central Girls defeated Rapid City St. Thomas More 46-44 in overtime on January 12.  This ended St. Thomas More’s winning streak at 48 games.  The 48 straight wins is the second longest winning streak in Class A, Girls history.  Miller won 73 consecutive games from 1990 in 1993.  The forty-eight consecutive wins is the seventh longest streak in Girls basketball history for all classes.  In Class AA, Sioux Falls Roosevelt, 111 (107 National record); 1997-2002; Sioux Falls Washington, 50 1980-1982; and Brookings, 49, 1983-1986 are longer.  In Class B, Wakonda, 101, 1997-2001; and Jefferson, 67, 1987-1990 are longer.

This season St. Thomas More had surpassed Mitchell, 45, 1992-1993; Waverly-South Shore, 47, 1999-2001; Northwestern, 47, 1990-1992; and Armour, 47, 1986-1987 on the All-time, Consecutive Wins lists.
