 <title>The Dakota Way of Life</title>
 <link>http://www.sdsportshistory.com/mariahpress/node/46</link>
<description>&quot;Ella Deloria has given us a precious gift of her herself, her talents, and her intense desire for us to learn from our elders, which means embracing the Dakota way of life. That in turn means a commitment to mutual understanding, mutual enrichment, and mutual respect.

&quot; It is my hope and prayer that The Dakota Way of Life will be, for educators and institutions of higher learning, an essential motivator to build on the literary treasure that has been presented to us by Ella Deloria in such an unselfish manner. At the very least, the material should be required reading.

<description>For the past century the South Dakota High School Activities Association has coordinated South Dakota high school athletic and fine arts events. The Association was organized initially to govern the first state high school track meet in 1906. This initial effort has expanded to the present the supervision of seven varsity boys&#039; sports, seven varsity girls&#039; sports, and four fine arts activities.

 <title>&quot;Irish Eyes&quot; video and DVD</title>
 <link>http://www.sdsportshistory.com/mariahpress/irish-eyes</link>
<description>Efforts to chronicle the exceptional history of Irish people in the Upper Midwest have been extensive in the past decade. The Irish of our region have been an integral part of the American experience in the past 150 years. Doug McAllister&#039;s &quot;Irish Eyes: The Story of Nebraska&#039;s Irish&quot; is a great addition to the effort to document the experiences of the Irish in the Upper Midwest.</description>
